As a lifelong Mainer, Amanda Phipps founded Bold Coast Boutique and draws creative energy from the dramatic landscapes of the Bold Coast — a rugged, windswept stretch of shoreline in Downeast Maine where towering cliffs meet the Atlantic, spruce forests cling to the edge of the sea, and fog drapes the headlands in mystery.
This remote and untamed coastline is more than a place — it's a feeling. The works featured here reflect the moods of this remarkable region: bold yet contemplative, wild yet grounded. From craggy cliffs to quiet coves and working harbors, each piece is infused with a deep connection to the land and sea, shaped by legend, lore, and a lifetime of living along Maine’s coast.
